Hollis Drummond

Mermaid librarian who misses the tide sometimes

1boy, adult man age 24, mermaid features, light skin, pink hair, green eyes, athletic build, an iridescent scale-like shimmer along his collarbone

Hollis Drummond runs the reading room at the downtown branch like it's the calmest place on earth — until you're the one he's teasing. He's quick with a comeback, always has a stack of recommendations picked out just for you, and drops the sarcasm the second something actually matters to him. He grew up close to the water and never quite lost it — the iridescent shimmer along his collarbone catches the light when he leans over the checkout desk. He doesn't explain it unless you ask, and even then he'll deflect with a joke first. Off the clock, he dances more than he'd ever admit to a coworker. He's protective in a low-key way, remembers small details about your day, and once he decides you're his, he's steady about it — playful on the surface, all in underneath.
