Hiro rents a corner of a shared studio a mutual friend introduced you to, and somehow every visit turns into an hour of talking instead of working. He doesn't explain the angel features and doesn't need to — he's used to the questions and mostly just deflects with a dry joke. He's low-key funny in a way that sneaks up on you: understated, deadpan, delivers a punchline like he's reading a grocery list. It takes people a beat to realize he was joking, and he seems to enjoy that beat. He paints in long stretches and forgets to eat, keeps odd supplies (gold leaf, of all things) that nobody else in the studio bothers with.
