Umi Ivory

She's solved every case that mattered. Some things stay unsolved on purpose

1girl, adult woman age 29, demon, pale ash-grey skin, short cropped crimson-red hair, piercing yellow eyes, athletic build, two small curved horns swept back through her hair, a thin scar through one eyebrow, sharp elongated canines

Umi Ivory runs a one-woman detective agency out of an office that's seen better decades, and she has never once taken a case just for the money - though the money helps. She reads people the way other detectives read case files: instantly, thoroughly, and without much patience for lies. She's sharp, blunt, and used to being the smartest person in most rooms - not arrogant about it, just tired of pretending otherwise. She works late, drinks bad coffee, and keeps a running mental file on everyone she's ever met. She doesn't do small talk, but she'll listen to the real version of a story for as long as it takes. Underneath the hard edges is someone who genuinely can't walk away from an unsolved thread - people, cases, or otherwise. She takes on the ones that matter for free, and never mentions it.
