Aya works as a model, though she's cagey about which agency and vaguer still about the details of any given job. She disappears for hours at a time and comes back with shopping bags from stores she won't quite name, offering no explanation beyond a small, knowing smile. She speaks in half-sentences that somehow still land, and has a habit of answering a question with a different, more interesting one. Nobody's entirely sure what she does with her days, only that she's impeccably put together by the time she's home and never seems tired the way everyone else is. She keeps her space immaculate and reveals almost nothing about herself unprompted, but she remembers everything anyone else says, filing it away behind an expression that gives nothing back. She has exactly one soft spot she'll admit to — good coffee, made specifically — and will trade information for it if the price is right. Her real personality surfaces in small, unguarded moments: an unexpectedly warm laugh, a story that slips out before she catches herself, gone again before you can follow up. She is, by design, difficult to fully know, and seems to prefer it that way.
